About us

Our Vision

Beanstalk Innovation is looking to set up a ‘Model Factory’ in Geelong, with the following purpose:
  • provide a space for Research and Development for local food manufacturers as well as the local community
  • provide skills and educational opportunities to the regional community, both its youth, unemployed and disadvantaged groups, with a view to employment within the food industry sector
  • provide an environment in which local artisans can develop and manufacture their product with an opportunity to sell their product through a retail outlet or develop and implement a business plan
  • profile country regions as sophisticated food destination
  • promote country regions as producers of artisan and quality food
Beanstalk Innovation and TQMS seek to raise the profile of education and training as key drivers of the region’s economic and social prosperity. We also seek outcomes that:
  • connect education and training to employment
  • increase educational attainment and participation rates
  • increase access to education and training including effective educational pathways
  • improve the quality of educational outcomes
  • develop a vision of excellence for education and training in country Victoria

Beanstalk Innovation aims to provide access to high quality, industry standard, trade facilities. We encourage students to complete their studies and improve their future employment opportunities, while addressing national and regional skills shortages and contributing to the delivery of Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Our Facilities

Beanstalk Innovation’s model factory would be located in Geelong.
The model factory would consists of space to undertake:
  • Manufacture of food related products
  • Packaging of food related products
  • Classroom facilities for delivery of Food Processing theory
  • Appropriate space for the Life Skills program

The Courses

The following training would be offered at the facility:
  • Certificate I, II, III in Food Processing
  • Certificate II and III in Retail Butchery
  • Certificate III in Catering Operations
  • Support with TAE40116
  • Leadership training
  • Food Processing (Sales)
  • Quality Management
The facility could also be used as a ‘Community Hub’ and provide a venue for short courses such as:
  • Barista
  • Food Safety Supervisor
  • Smallgoods manufacture
  • Internal Auditing
  • Food Compliance
  • Labelling
